Not on his 07. I watched the dealer swap mine out during a trouble shooting session. 45 minutes max to take the old one off and put the new one in, test it, then take the new one back out and replace the old one.

Bolts and wires.

Although you said the battery was replaced, are you sure all the cable connections are good? (voltage drop test). Sometimes where the cable goes in the lug gets corroded and wont allow full voltage to the starter. Just a thought.

yep. wish it was the battery or a connection but it aint.

BTW should i loctite the bolts and what color??

I would put star washers under the heads of the bolts and use blue loctite.

kinda good news bad news, yes its that easy to R&R. BUT they sold me the wrong one. didnt look right (no nose cone or drive) just a spline. but took it off anyway thinkin i may have to reuse some/transfer a part but nope. and ill bet ther right starter aint the same price. another 200 mile round trip. crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
