Default Harley air horn?

Ok I have now decided to get the air horn 69423-05 for my 08 Electra glide. They say I need installation kit 69400-05. Just what does the kit consist of and is it hard to install? Does it require rewiring the bike etc..........How long did it take to install?

I can't speak directly regarding an EG, but I installed one on my 2006 Dyna.

The "kit" consisted of a power relay and associated wiring for the particular bike that it will be installed on.

Installation was simple. The most difficult part was removing the cowbell horn assembly.

No real "rewiring" of the bike.
Just a couple of connections to the battery and running one new wire from the relay to the new horn.
It's been two years since my install, but I seem to remember that there may have been a wire splice in there somewhere also.

It took me about an hour from start to finish.
