Default Heated Gear Wiring

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Where do I pick up the switch leg for the accessory switch? I know it is fed from the fuse block, I just don't know where the other side of the switch is. I have an 07 FLTR. I got a heated jacket liner and I don't want to plug it into the cigarrette lighter. Thanks in advance

So do you mean the black one with the cap on It, on top of the picture with the Deutz female plug and the cap cover? Or the gray one on the bottom ? Im confused this is set up to work off the Accessory switch on the dash? On my 08 Electra Glide I plugged into the black one with a cigarette lighter HD setup with a detuz or whatever its called plug and it worked when the ignition is on and the access switch illuminated I thin thats right and if so what is the gray one for ? Thanks for your help sorry to sound a little dumb?? I also need to hook up my GPS to it I already hardwired the heated clothes to the battery! thanks Bill

The accessory switch uses the black Deutsch connector at the top of the pic. The gray connector is the B+ connector--just a positive power tap off the battery.

I plug into my battery tender harness which I have coming out under the seat on the left side by the top of the saddlebag. Harley has adapters for coaxial to SAE connectors if you need it.

I agree! Added one more off the battery so that the wife on the back can heat her stuff too.

I wired mine directly to the battery.
