Is speedo more accurate than GPS
I notice my zumo is always a few mph less than the speedo.
Is there a way to calibrate it.

The speedos are always off by a few mph, I think they read high but the gps should be pretty accurate.

Yep. Consensus around here is that the GPS is more accurate and that the variance between the Zumo and the HD speedometer is about 3mph.

GPS is much more accurate. Take the GPS and a stop watch and then set your cruise on an interstate with mile markers. Divide the number of seconds into 3600 and get your MPH. It is better to have a long run to compare your odometer to the mile markers and the GPS.

We tested several GPS units with radar. Their speed readings were spot on accurate.

Dakota Digital sells a device to calibrate your Harley speedometer, as does Kuryakin. Meanwhile, here's a chart to use to check your speedometer. These are passed out by the Mn State Patrol.
