Why not just buy something like a Garmin 276C, which a LOT of motorcyclists use, and be done with it. Just about indestructible. Mines been in thunderstorm and bounced out of my hand onto the pavement a few times. Also been in one wreck. Slap it in a simple RAM mount and go ride. Mines been riding everywhere with me for close to five years now, and is the best piece of gear I've probably ever bought.

Why use a car GPS on a bike? Use an OUTDOOR GPS on the bike.

The garmin MC I can get here in Norway will cost me 945$! I can get an garmin 205 for 170$. It is all about the money :-)

Ya I would use a cheap one that way if someone steels it, falls off on the interstate, or malfunctions we go buy another…
