Do you have a loose mount? Mine line up pretty well.

Funny you bring this up. Just yesterday after lowering my EGS, I had problems getting the left side bag on. I tried to remove the pin and it wouldn't come out of the mount. Come to find out the groove that the pin has on the tip was enlarged so it would not allow me to remove the pin from the mount. I squeezed it closed a bit, but I probably should go and get another pin soon.

Exactly what happened to mine. I had to remove the mounts in order to install the detachable backrest and rack hardware. The R/S goes on real easy but the left was a real PITA!

When I adjust mine I loosen off the mounts on the bike just enough so they'll move around, and then mount up the bags. Then I tighten up the mounts again, enough that they won't move when I remove the bags, then remove the bags and complete tightening the mounts.

-Take the bag off
-Loosen both mounts
-Put the bag back on and twist the pins until they lock
-Then tighten the mounts
-Tweak as necessary

While you are at it you might want to slide the bag back on the support bar as far as it will go. If it is too far forward it will rub the paint off of your side cover. Just an FYI.
