I have 18's. They are chubby apes and require that the stock risers be replaced. I am 6'4" and they are shoulder height and very comfortable.

The 16" are comfortable and they look good.

This is the guy that I purchased my apehangers from. His name is Johnny Vaughn, he is a First Class dude. His prices are fair and he specializes in apehangers!

Now get the 16" bars and send us a picture!

I have the Corbin Gambler seat cut as low as possible and as far back as possible.

I like the seat because the passenger pad keeps me from sliding off the back and I can still give my wife a ride without changing seats. My wife doesn't really like it compared to my other seat (Harley Stripper). She says the passenger seat is too firm on the Corbin Gambler.

The Harley Stripper seat; I liked the way it looked and my wife thought it was more comfortable. What I didn't like about this seat is that you would start sliding off the back if you didn't hold on tight. If you get the Corbin Gambler, tell them to put a gel pad on the passenger side.

check out the magazine baggers. The August issue (I may be wrong) had a great Ape fitment guide. Talked about body type, height, etc. Anyways was a pretty good article. With this and a couple of trips at the Harley dealer I was able to find a good fit.

I have an '05 rk custom. I am 6'1" and weigh about 285. I have LA Choppers 18", 1.25 radius, bars. I absolutely love the heightof my bars. If the local laws allow you to go to 18", I would advise you to do it. I love the way my bars sit right at my shoulder height. I have back issues, but when I am on the bike, my back doesn't give me any issues. I took the bike to Sturgis, 1918.6 miles. When I got back, I could have turned around and made the trip again. That is how comfortable I was. Of course, I also have the police air ride seat, which certainly helped make the ride that much more enjoyable... Good luck with your decision. Let us know what you decide.

A pic of my bike is below, but I can not figure out how to get it in my sig since we swtich servers...
