Default Which Lyndall pads?

Z Plus
or
Gold Plus
???

I'm running PM 6 piston caliper
Polished stainless rotor

I'd like to minimize brake dust & heat while increasing stopping power.

Also, any special break-in procedures for these pads?

Thanks!

I got the red ones. I have PM calipers too. I think they are called z plus. They increase stopping power greatly.

If I remember correctly, the golds are for racing and require a break in period of starts and stops, else they not brake properly. Their standard pads (blue) are excellent. I run them on an 01 Deuce and and 03 FLHTC.

Our Z Plus compound is a softened version of the Gold Plus compound. It is excellent for general purpose riding and offers a high coefficient of friction. This is the most rotor friendly pad in the industry. It produces no dust, and no noise. The service life generally averages about 18,000 miles.

I have read where you do not want to get the pads designated for racing. You would think they would have to work the best, but they only work the best under racing conditions.

I have the gold plus on stock '06 calipers. Work great. No issues to speak of. More important to keep your brake fluid fresh, system bled, and your caliper pistons working properly.
