Looking at replacing the stock seat on an 07 EG Classic,I'm 6'1" and was wondering if anyone has any experience of the tallboy?
I see a lot of good comment for the Sundowner but anyone around my height tried them both?thanks

I am 6'5" and bought the Tallboy seat last year for my 08 Ultra. It worked great, but I thought I needed a backrest and it wouldn't accept one. This year, the Tallboy seat accepts a rider backrest so I bought a new one and the backrest. I'm a little disappointed...the backrest is great, but now, the new Tallboy makes my *** go numb after about 45 minutes. Something different here that's not working for me. Anyone else find the 09 Tallboy to be different? I don't have any experience with the Sundowner, so I'll be watching these replies carefully.

 

I'm 6'1", 265lbs. I have the tallboy on my 07 street glide and love it. I had it put on before I picked up the bike. I have 10,000 miles on it and still love it.

 

anyone else with tallboy experience?I dont really like the feeling when using highway pegs mounted on the crash bars but would like to stretch my legs out a bit.

Main concern is that the passenger seat is as comfortable as the sundowner though,my wifes main concern,that is.

Had one on my 05 ultra (tallboy). It is fairly comfortable but it will sit you up and back like it promises. I'm about 6'2" and it put me up a little too high over the windshield. However, it did give me plenty of legroom. Seat is comfy for a passenger too but eventually I went back to the sundowner.

 

Who is this "Sundowner" anyway???

 

I am 6'4", 290 and have a Tallboy on '06 Streetglide and really like where it puts me. I had a Sundowner solo and liked everything about it except it had me too close to the tank.

 

I'm 6'3" and 250 with an '07 RG. I tried the tallboy but didn't like it. My butt kept sliding forward and was uncomfortable on longer rides. I ended up going with a Mustang one piece Ultra seat with a driver's backrest - it's great! My thought was just to use the backrest on longer trips, but it's so comfortable that I use it all the time now.

 

Im 6 foot about 240 lbs. I went with the one piece Mustang. You will pay a little more but definitely worth the price. Very comfortable for passenger also.
