Which touring would you choose?

For me it would be the FLHTC. Here's why, I bought one ha! No really.... It's 2nd from the top of the line and the top of the line has only some things that a lot of people don't need or use. example> cb,lower faring, rear speaks, etc. Who needs a cb? In the summer almost everyone I know removes the lowers, Then what do you have... A CLASSIC ha!
And as far as all the other touring model like RK, SG, RG, a lot of these people sell them after they find out its not like the Classic and Ultra as far as true touring with the big faring and windshield and tour pack on rear. (or they buy or ad the things to make it like a FLHTC OR FLHTCU.
So I say if your gonna do it (touring model that is) do a FLHTC. imo
So there.

That would be my choice. I wish they made an Ultra Road Glide. Mine's got the lowers and the king tour pack, but I wish I had the rear speakers, intercom and CB...

So true SG are as common as seeing Camrys & Accords in my area.

Can't say for anyone else but me it's personal need. For instance, I'm in my 60s but 1 kid is still at home so I do a LOT of day trips around FL, not real touring. The Road King is easily the best choice.
In a couple of years though, the RG is the one I'll have. In years past I've had some scoots with frame-mounted fairings and some with fork-mounted - frame mounted is my preference. To me they seem to be more stable in cross-wind gusts and 18-wheeler slip-streams. Besides, I happen to like the looks better (go ahead - flame time).
