Garmin Nuvi 760. No problems. If it rains I put in a sandwich bag and run it on battery power. Other wise it's wired to a powerlet on my handle bars with a short power cable I made. I also use it with a short cord plugged into the radio and tuned to AUX for voice comands through the head sets.
Works for me and when not in use on the bike I move it to the truck. Bluetooth for the phone also. If you look close you can see it mounted on my bars on the left side with a RAM Mount

I use a 100 dollar tomtom I bought refurbished from radio shack. I suction cut the thing right to my windshield and I have ridden over 1000 miles with it on there and it hasn't fallen off at all. I back it up with a string tied to the windshield just in case but I only put it on for long trips. Ohh and I carry a sandwich baggie in my saddle bag to cover it just in case.
I know with the tomtom it tells you how far till next turn on the screen which is awesome cause you can't hear it all that good when the radio is cranked up. Just do it!!!
