Smile RK High Bars

I have them on my 97 RK. Really like them, no wiring extensions were needed. I'm 5'8" on a good day.

+1 on the RK high bars. Huge improvement !!! All stock cables fit fine. Best $89.95 you'll spend on your bike.

Blueride,
In your pic the handlebars look like they have a "wheelbarrel" look as far as how your hands are positioned? Is it me or just the way the pics looks? I'd definately like my hands to be somewhat out in front of me and more horizontal-looking.

2008 Road King Police Bar part number:
HD part # 56902-08

Like I said earlier, didn't have to change any cables or wires (throttle is fly by wire, long enough for the change).

Be careful if you are changing grips, as they need to be specific for 2008 model year, (possibly the same for 2009, not sure though).

I honestly couldn't think of a way to improve on the comfort of these bars, it gives the extra pullback, the extra rise, and puts my hands in the natural holding position.

Of course, everyone is different, this is my opinion only.

The part # you gave me is for the Heritage style handlebar, not the Road King High Handlebar (part # 56180-08) that I thought we were talking about?

I went back to a thread I started when searching for new bars.
That was the part # I had back then, and I called them Road King Police/ Heritage Style Bars, as that's what the sticker tag had on it.
I do ride with a cop who rides a Police edition Road King, the bars seem to be the same.

Remember, in 08 they went to throttle by wire, and the bars need to have the end to accomodate that.

Hopefully the link below shows so you can get to the original thread.
