Default bad mileage after service

Hopeing for some feedback. "08 Ultra" I had my bike in to the dealer for the 16,000 km service and to upload the 'rear cylinder shutdown' on the ECM. They also checked for the recall of the fuel cannister (mine wasn't affected) and they said they put on another ECM Flash update, not sure what it was for they said, but said it had a 'B' instead of an 'A' in it.???

Bike runs fine, still lots of power, no problems with this dealer before.
My problem is this, before the service, I was getting 377 km's per tank when the bike was new, after break-in I was getting around 400 km's per tank. In the USA I was getting 450 km's per tank(think that was due to the 93 octane they have there)

Now, after service, I get 330 km's per tank. That's a huge difference, my bike is stock, original exhast...original everything. Any ideas why the MPG has dropped drastically?
I phoned the dealer, they said the ECM was simply an updated flash, shouldn't have changed anything to do with fuel. Could the ECM flash erased my fuel economy info and the bike has to rebuild it's memory??, not sure if I presented that right, but kind of like re-doing the break-in period info...more you drive, the better the the MPG?

I remember reading on here month's ago that there was a flash that you could have done from the dealer for free to cool down the bike? I can't seem to find that thread, and I was hopeing it would have that ECM flash # available...perhaps that is what my dealer put on??

Hopeing for some answers, Don't want to get into dealer bashing either, Just curious if anyone has any idea why?

thanks for your input

If they reflashed it, then it could now be running richer (and cooler), and less gas mileage as well.

It would be better if you knew how many miles per gallon, by using your odometer, instead of going by each time you fill the tank. How do you know you are filling it up from the same level each time. You can't go by the gauge it isn't that accurate.
