Default V&H ovals on 09 flhrc

I got some used ovals for my Road King Classic...all seemed ok but when I contacted V&H about fuelpak maps, they told me they had none because they didn't have ovals for the 09 touring line. Claimed the pipes were too close to the axle nut. Well I took them off and put the stockers back on and to my eye, the distance to the nut looked the same...Any thoughts please.

Seeing is believing. If you eyeball them to be the same distance, what is the problem?

Go to the V&H web site and check the list of available pipes for 09's other than monster ovals and radius and maybe 1 or 2 more, there are none which also means there is no map for them. There's also no Power Commander available for 09 touring yet. Just seems to be something we have to live with for a few weeks. Spoke to V&H on phone could not get a date for available but I did ask week or months, he said weeks.

There is a map available for the '09 monster ovals. I looked it up. My set of '09 monster ovals are on order and are supposed to be shipped on the 25th of this month.

Default idea

Do you have Stage 1?? If so it is not that far off from stock touring mufflers w/stage 1. Just put a pair on my buddies EG w/stage 1 tweaked his PC III a little no problems. Axle nut may be different cuz tries on '09's are wider (180?) but Saturday Night Special is right, seeing is believing

Lift your bike up on a jack, and make sure that with the rear shocks fully extended (wheel off the ground) that the axle nut does not hit the pipes.

This is the reason they had to re-design the heat shield for the monster ovals for 09 bikes.
