Yeah, actually you made us all feel better, 'cause we all thought this kind of stuff only happened to us!!
This sounds so much like some of my mechanical stories even I can't believe it!
The troubleshooting phase
The disbelief phase
The I know I can fix it phase
The I think it's got me beat phase
The I won't leave my baby sitting in a strange place all alone phase
The Oh no it doesn't have me beat! phase
and the best...The I solved the problem phase!

 

glad you got it fixed. and as others said, glad its not just me....

 

I'd use a log chain before that POS fork lock on my RK. Yours is not the first horror story I've heard about it.
