Default Loud bang on start 2008 RoadKing Classic

When I start my 2008 Roadking there is a loud mechanical Bang
like engine kicking back on starter any one else have this going on?
also if I shut the engine down in gear with clutch pulled in, the engine
make a big clunking sound but doesn't do it in neutral bike has only 2200 Miles

For the less mech inclined like myself, what does it mean (comp. sprocket) and what are the ramifications? My 09 RKC has done that since new, currently have about 800 miles on it. thx

My 08 has done that since new..was told it is "normal" something about the compensation gear taking up slack in the flux capacitor, thereby eliminating the photons that accumulated in the starter housing...hehe. seriously, don't worry about it you can search this site it has been addressed before and is normal for the 96' twinkie.

It's the compensator banging. All 96" engines do it.

Since I took out my compensator and put in the EVO 30 tooth, mine doesn't
