$$ 2009 Touring Models Prices...BEST DEALS!! $$

I am kicking around putting in for a black EG Standard with ABS and cruise for late winter or spring delivery. I will not pay above MSRP; if I can't find a dealer who will sell it to me at MSRP, I will go without, but I don't think I will have to.
For those who are relatively new to Harleys, in the bad old days (late 90's through 2003) the demand far exceeded the supply; good, clean used bikes on the floor cost more than new ones that would be coming in some months. Dealers didn't sell, they took orders and many did things like requiring you to have a trade, charging outrageous amounts for "dealer prep," requiring you to buy $1,000 or more in accessories, and of course pricing their bikes above MSRP. If you wouldn't buy it, thta guy over there would. I remember the dealers in my area that did all these things and more, believe me.
Now the shoe is on the other foot. I urge folks to give their business to those dealers who were reasonable in those days and to tell them why they are buying from them. There are two dealers fairly close by (both smaller dealers) who were reasonable during those times who are candidates for my business. Assuming their business practices haven't changed, it will be a matter of availability.
Good luck to all who will be buying an 09.

i have worked out deals for 5 harleys . 2 super glides, one low rider,a road king and a fat bob. only 2 bikes were for me...anyway i have found that no matter what factory installed accessories are on the bike.. dealers are willing to knock the price down to the bikes base price listed on the harley web site.
even if its a stock bike with nothing added.... you can get 1000 off a sportster 1500 off any dyna and 2 grand off any touring bike. never spend more then 20 to 30 min. talking to any salesman. if they cant do the deal walk out. and if they say they will do the deal dont let them pump the price back up on the final sales contract by adding fake charges like dealer prep, shipping , flat tire insurence, or any other charges except sales tax . and if you are to lazy to go to the dmv for your tags and registration they will just love to charge you for them to do it .. my things is why pay interest on dmv charges. in other words never pay more then the price of the bike plus tax
(after they discount the bike). and this is not just at the end of the model year you can get this deal on bikes as soon as they come out. and never belive the lie that they will loose their dealership if they sell the bike for less then the msrp. thata lie cause any bike you see on a showroom floor is owned buy that dealership. they bought it and can sell it for what ever they want to. also if they give you a gift card trust me it means they jacked you for the same amount in your bikes price .gift cards are not cash you spend it there and anything you buy is only worth what they paid for it and not the outrageous price dealers charges for anything with the harley name on it

if it were me, it'd definately be a black roadglide. no abs. no airbag no seat belt, just the basic vivid black streetglide. they rock in every way possible. i own a black streetglide 08 and it's paid for, so i want to stick with it till i see fit to trade it off, but please wait about a month or two when they start getting the 2010's in, because the dealers are going to have to finally slash the hell out of the prices of 09's or start construction of a museum and warehouse for them cause why in the hell would you buy an 09 for the same price as a new 2010 ? you wouldn't. so be patient. the pendulum is swinging in the direction to favor you this very moment. they're gonna have to get very radical in cuts on prices of 09's or be stuck with them. both tulsa shops have very full showrooms and many more stored right now. supply and demand.
