06 RKC. I have read several threads to go with floating rotors now that I need to replace one of the front rotors. I'm low on funds so the cost of a pair of front floating rotors and lydall z-pads are a little spendy. I have read where there is a slight difference in braking performance with floating rotors and the improvement is seen with a different brake pad.

Recommendation's......
Buy one floating rotor (new brake pads) and wait for the other rotor to warp and replace then.
Buy a set of polished rotors ( new brake pads) and just ride.
Replace the one rotor and ride.

If you are tight on coin, you can pick up some cheap take offs on Ebay. I bought a pair of brand new still in the box rotors to convert my 99 to the new style 4 piston calipers for $40.00 and a pair of take off 06 calipers for $50. If you're patient, you can score some good deals. HTH
