No gas!!

It is not a supply shortage. It is caused by all of these f%$k's that decide to get gas for everything that they own when the gauge moves down ever so slightly. Then they come back with their gas cans and fill those up and get their buddies gas can and fill that up. Now that they are full they screw off and the system could not handle the large demand that was placed on it all at one time. Gaas stations oreder fuel several days in advance and also have regular deliveries that are based upon their average daily consumption. When this consumption goes up they cant keep up. There is something like 10 million gallons in storage and distribution tanks east of the Atl.

Here in the Mountains of Western NC, enjoy the view because you're certainly not going to be driving anywhere. This is crap. We live near Hendersonville which is not far from Asheville and only ONE station that I found even had fuel and you can imagine the lines. This has been going one for over a week now and it truly sux swamp water. Oh, and they're charging through the nose just for spite.
Bike's in the garage and will remain there until normal patterns return since I don't want to push it around while making putt-putt noises.

This from the Boston Herald:
Gas shortages in SE
No problems here in Baton Rouge, possibly because the Exxon-Mobil refinery is just down the road.
