Default Wheels for the '09 Street Glide

Have any of you changed your stock wheels? If so, are there any that do not require changing tires and making brake mods?

I have an 09 FLHTP and they have those butt ugly wheels too. Haven't seen anything out there other than stock for the 09's with ABS. I wish they had put the other touring rims on the SG and the police models. I like the 28 rib stock wheel but tough to get right now.

Talk to Phil at Hogpro.com about wheels. He started getting the new rear hubs in a few weeks ago and is shipping. He can do most styles on his site and has some great prices.

I'm running a Black Magic Primitive 21 x 18 combo with a 200 metzler on my 09 ABS Street Glide. Best of luck with your choices.

I am getting my 09 stockers (28 spoke) chromed by chrome pros. I like the look of the stock wheels, the quality of finish by chrome pros is unbelievable, best I ever seen anywhere.

Hey masterblaster, post pics when you get your wheels completed and on your ride. I have the 29-spoked and am considering getting them chromed. Would like to see the after pics.
Thanks

I cant even figure out how to post a pic of my new bike. They should have made this user friendly when the upgraded, I am getting pissed at this forum for the first time.

I called them today. They say that they will chrome the '09 wheels, but do not have any in stock. I don't think I would do that deal until they can send me out the chromed units and I would send the cores back. I would not remove the wheels myself and couldn't see the bike sitting at the dealer for all that time 'up on blocks'. I would reconsider after they have some units ready to ship.

One of the "chromers" told me today they do not have the 09 SG stock wheels yet. They said if I wanted to front the $1100 for them to get a set of wheels, chrome them and send them out to me they would refund me $300 when they received my stock wheels back. It sounded very fair to me. Not sure if other wheel styles would be done in a similar way.
