I'm sure you realize that the Street Glide is already lowered. As it's an 09, are you sure you want to lower it more? Might want to consider putting some miles on it prior to making that decision. Perhaps with passenger, and perhaps loaded down with your travel luggage, (if used for long trips) Lowering it even more is going to impact the ride under those kind of conditions. JMHO. But if you are dead set on doing it, all you really have to do, is install shorter shocks. You can find them. Or maybe I'm missing something? If so, I certainly stand corrected.

I'd leave it alone, it already lowered, and looks "cool" as is. Unless, you have really short legs!

You can lower that bike another inch and still do two up with a tourpak. I know, I'm doing it.

As far as 09 lowering kits for the rear... it's the same as the 08.
Any of the 60 buck lowering kits on ebay made for 08 and below will work on your 09. Again, I know as I am doing it on my 09.... No problems.

Can anyone please explain how this kit works? What I see is some sort of bracket with different located holes in it. I would assume this is an adjustable lowering kit? Is that bracket bolted to where the factory shock mount is? Is it only bolted using one bolt? If so, does it pivot? Where can I get this because I would like to lower my EGS or is it better to just get SG shocks?

See the Gold bolt to the right of the shock in the picture? That is the original shock mounting point. The bracket (only 60 bucks) allows you to mount the end of the shock further to the left (in three different holes) and that lowers the bike.

With the SG shocks you get reduced shock travel thus it's not as cushy - more harsh. With the stock longer shocks + the lowering bracket you get full travel (an inch longer than the sg). Thus......lowered bike with nice cushy ride.

No, it does not bottom out. At least not when lowered 1 and 2 inches. I've tried fully loaded two up. No problem.

Yes, you SG guys can use the lowering bracket as well but I would not lower it more than an inch.

Yes, one bolt. No, no pivot.

You can find the lowering kit all over ebay.
