Kawi put out its new touring bike. Some very interesting specs if you haven't seen it yet.

105 years too late. Looks like an aborted Victory Vision.

Long thread started on this subject yesterday:

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touring-models/278735-look-familiar.html

I have a feeling Honda will soon follow suit and introduce a hard bagger version of the VTX to compete in spite of having a Gold Wing in their stable.

Ha I've seen a few of those things around here ..

Imitation is the greatest form of flattery ..

We been riding V2's for almost 105 years , the Jap's never started until a few years ago , notice they all have their own "Owners" or "Riders" groups now as well ..

Were those people wearing LEATHER in those pics or was it imitation , like what they're riding ??

I dunno, they're gonna be hardpressed to compete with that Victory/Samsonite (or is it American Tourister) Vision model, now THAT is truely a Picasso on wheels...

That's what they said they were going to do in 2001.. maybe they'll do it. The only street bike they ever made that is worth the moeny was the Valkyrie.

For some reason this phrase comes to mind

"You can polish a turd, but it's still a turd"

Nit rice bashing but HD makes touring bikes and bikes that are just plain cool to own and ride. The Japs make great dirt bikes and rockets on two wheels. I have some Jap bikes, dirt mostly, they are very nice and durable. On the pavement I stick with the HD, unless they are both in for service then I go with the KLR.

Looks like Kawasaki has taken some styling cues from the Honda Valkyrie Interstate, which was discontinued several years ago. Dumbest thing Honda has ever done.
