I have a feeling Honda will soon follow suit and introduce a hard bagger version of the VTX to compete in spite of having a Gold Wing in their stable.
As an ex-X rider, I think Honda will kill the VTX when it opens the new plant in Japan. The VTX-Interstate idea has been coveted by the VTX folks for a long time and Honda does not look like it will play ball. But who knows. I think the Kawi is a nice start (certainly better looking than the Yamaha). I am curious to see where it goes over the next few years and where the price comes out. I do think it is good to have more competition. It just makes Harley want to continue to innovate to keep their (our) position. believe me, I don't regret making the switch, although I do find myself spending more time in the garage polishng, staring and contemplating chrome than I used to. I guess it is a sickness. :-)

Lots of Honda rumors circulating this year. Even the Honda top secret convention is being called the "Un-Convention" and speculation that something big will be unveiled. Some thought a new GL2000 Wing but I still say we will see a new Touring hard bagger from Honda, without a V-Twin as the power.
(Then you can't call it a harley wanna be....)

Agree, Valkyrie was a nice bike, fast as hell too. There is a definite resemblance.

I currently have 2 HDs but I have had metrics in the garage at the same time.

I just like motorcycles...and this new Kawasaki is very nice. I would buy this new Voyager over the the outdated Venture or the ugly Vision. I didn't see a price stated anywhere though...my guess is $18k or so.

Whatever they do and try as they like....it still is a kawasaki. Good thing I guess if that's your thing. Not mine. Wrong bike wrong site.

Default another trainwreck HD wannabe

This new Kawi reminds me of that other load from 10 yrs ago that never caught on, The Yamaha Venture. They try to make a cheaper knockoff of the original (and still the best) Electra Glide. But this newest one is doomed to failure as well. Certain things in life a copy will just not suffice . People still want the genuine article. Thank god!!!
