Installing Oil cooler with no adapter

I don't really see how your going to tap into an oil flow with out (1) using an adapter or (2) removing the oil filter assy mount and taking oil straight out of the front of the block or putting an adapter on the front of the block case to be sandwitched between the oil filter assy mount, or (3) get the oil returning to the pan?
What exactly do you have in mind?

What are the two plugs in the front of the oil filter mount (take a look on your bike) not used now?
They are there, go look on your bike.
See attached - part item #1, the two next to the oil filter.

I am wanting to remove the thermostat and also remove the adapter to remove any leak points and and also not have to worry about the adapter becoming loose during oil changes. Thanks piggy, that maybe exactly what I am looking for. I have wondered about the plugs in the filter housing. would be really simple if the cooler could just be hooked in right there.
