Default Road Glide Ultra Help

Okay, I need some help figuring things out. As you know, I just came off an ultra. I want to add some ultra goodies to the RG. Here is where I am confused:

1) I would like to add plug for rider helmet headset. PA book lists 77173-08 as what I need and it includes the console pod assembly, left hand control switch assembly and fairing speaker switch. No mention of a wiring harness. It is 254.95. Well the RG already has everything listed but console pod. My new handy parts manual lists CB & intercom control pod PN 7713608 which is 90 from Zanotti's. I think I would be okay with ordering this and saving the dough, but I dont see where on the bike I would plug it into.....which brings me to my next question.

2) Manuals show wiring harness the same for FLTR and FLHTCU. Ultras have an additional harness called the "ultra audio overlay" 701160-08A which is around 225 from Zanottis. It has the passenger headset plug, left and right speaker control plugs, cb attena cable and ultra cb connecter which looks like is what plugs into above console. Now when you look in the PA book at adding CB or intercom, all it tells you is you need "advanced audio system wiring harness 70169-06" for 129.95. Nothing in the intercom kit, rear speaker kit or required wiring harness descriptions indicate they include the passenger headset plug.

I hope this makes sense. Any one that has done these add ons or an HD tech that may know for sure, the help would be great. With electrical parts, I cant just order something and send it back if it doesnt work. On the other hand I dont want to pay for parts I dont need like above switch gear.

Darrin,
Sorry I have not done this, and have not been around HDForums in several months, but do remember someone talking about this before I left and had a pretty good thread going. If you can't find it here you may want to try over on VTwinForums.
