Does anyone have experience with the XM Radio for Harley? I have a RK and I am thinking about getting one to use with Helmet earphones. I sure would like to get some ideas about how well it works before spending the money.
I have one and it works fine, integrated into the H&K sound system. I can switch between an MP3 CD, XM, and the radio by just pushing the button on the right handlebar. I would rather have Sirus, but XM is fine for motorcycling.
I purchased the Harley XM unit and I lose the signal all the time. I live in the White Mtns. of NH. I was informed the XM satellite has a much lower orbit than Sirius. Problem is, there isn't one available like the XM unit.
I had a roady II on my old bike wit no radio just headphones it worked fine, but volum control was hard. I now have it on my Electra Glide with the XM through the CD port. Works great, dont listen to anything else.
I had XM put on my New 07 Ultra and then when I bought an 08 Ultra, I had harley tech swich it over for me. Would not leave homw without it. It's the best 500.00 I ever spent on a bike. We travel alot and it keeps us company . Also, living in Southeast, We can now listen to Alabama games on it when they are playing and we are out of town. Bldr
According to Sirius, they will start offering a mixed package of Sirius/XM on Oct. 6. I haven't seen the package being offered, but I understand You will get all the sports, music and talk for a price of $16 a month. Can't wait as I now have GM Vehicles with XM and have 1 Sirius just for the Nascar channel.
