Cool EITM - turning off the rear jug

Question, The MOCO decided to add the option of the bike turning off the rear cylinder in traffic when overheating It is called Engine Idle Temp. Management (EITM). But in another part of the owners manual it states "Caution do not operate cat. converter equipped vehicle with engine mis-fire or a non firing cylinder The exhaust will become abnormally hot which can cause vehicle damage including emission control loss." Calif. and international bikes have a cat. in the pipes.
Guess i shouldnt enable the EITM????

Don't worry, the EITMS will not harm the c.c. It's not misfiring. The ECM cuts off the fuel to the rear cylinder when a preset temperature (above 275 F) is reached and the engine is idling/running below 1350 RPM's, the bike is moving in excess of 2mph or the clutch is released. OK?
