Wow. I'm 200 lbs and have been running 5-7 lbs in the rear since I bought the bike, 6 months ago. I'm solo always as the wife has her own ride. The previous owner said he ran 5 lbs front and back, so that's what I've been running, thinking anything higher would be bad for the shocks! I'll have to experiment now with some higher lbs. I don't run the bike hard ever, and like a softer ride. But it seems I'm at the low end.

I run 25 PSI solo or w/ passenger. I have the lowering kit on my Ultra. Sometimes will bottom out on hard bumps.
Once the dealer's mechanic dropped it to 12 PSI (said 25 was way too much), even solo (I'm about 160 lbs) it lightly bottomed out on little bumps.

Need to know the year and model of the bike to get an accurate answer.

Some bikes have 13" shocks, typically run LESS air

Some bikes have 12" shocks, typically need MORE air

09 bikes (IMHO) are a whole new ball game on air pressure. (need less air than prev years)

BTW, this has been asked and answered about 10 times in the last 2 weeks. Threads all over the place on this.

07 Ultra me=375 wife=180 when I HAD the HD shocks I had them pumped to 35+ for us and it still sucked. Went to Legend Air Suspension, dont have an idea of how much I put it but know it's night and day difference and control at my left thumb, can change it as I please while I ride.
