Default A little in between happy and sad!

Today was a good day to take her out for a spin. I did just that. I got my RKC 06 about a month ago. I had them install V H true dual on them. I only got about 170 miles on her. I ended up droping her off at the dealers, because I have been expriencing some poping and some sputting, I notice a build up of carbon in the pipes, to me thats a sign of running to rich. I love the sound of them and they perform very good on the highway, I have the poping and sputting doing the local stop and go driving. One dealer told me I need the commando II kit install on it, The dealer where I brought the bike from says they don't recommen the commando kit, and its a piece of junk? All I want is for my hog to run the way I expect a twenty thousand dollar bike to run. I don,t known who to believe but I hope they straighten it out. Also I can seen myself getting the stage I or II kit next year for sure, I would like more power.[&:][&:]

I have Power Commander III and it realy preforms excelent. You might also consider with the upgrades your planning in the future that you upgrade your fuel delivery system with aftermarket upgrade (power commander, sert, or I not sure what brand but ther'e a new system that is a closed loop system that it adjust itself as your riding in all conditons and upgrades you might make. )

Callieblue,

With an 06 RKC, you might be having an issue with the 8 degree injectors. Popping and sputting sounds more like a lean condition than a rich one. Check to see if you have the 8* injectors or the new CVO 25* injectors installed (Do a search on them here, there are tons of posts on it).

And take everything your stealer tells you with a bucket of salt. They want you to spend your money with them, not do it yourself. Get a PC III. That way you can change the settings with each modification.

Stage I is simply just the air cleaner change. Unless someone specifcally states Stage I Big Bore or Stage I 95" upgrade, most people are talking about just the air cleaner upgrade.

Matt
