60 year old biker babe goes the distance!

Excellent
You have made some memories that will last a lifetime !
My wife and I just got back from our Pacific Coast tour, 4265 miles in 13 days. We saw it all--Million Dollar Highway in Colorado, Great Salt Lake, Sierra Nevadas, Tahoe, Yosemite NP, Bixby Creek Bridge (Bronson's bridge) and Hearst Castle on the Pacific Coast Highway, Grand Canyon. I would try to describe these, but I would run out of superlatives.
This was my wife's first real tour and was twice as long as I have been before. I am proud of her. There were times when she was talking about a rental car to get home, especially after I dumped her for the third time doing a u turn trying to get back to the Bixby Creek Bridge. The first two spills came in a scenic turnout that was deep pebbles with no steering whatever in Yosemite. But she hung in there. We did about 350 miles per day with frequent rest stops.
I had a great time and she's not saying she will never do it again, which means it is time to start planning the next one--Pacific Northwest, Glacier NP, Yellowstone NP. All of you who are getting on in years, get going!!! Tomorrow is not guaranteed. Grab it while you can!
The bike ran like a champ. Harley builds one hell of a tough touring machine!
