Default Saran Wrap/Glad Wrap Protection

If you're as **** as I am about tiny, hairline scuffs and scratchs, before you start your next project where you have to handle any painted pieces do this. Go to the kitchen and grab the Saran Wrap, Glad Wrap or whatever kind of plastic wrap you have and cover your paint with it. I wiped off the dust with a damp microfiber cloth the applied the plastic wrap. I put it on the windshield and the fairing. Then I started my project with no worries about scuffs and tiny scratches. When I got everything back together, I removed the plastic wrap and the finish was PERFECT!!! This might sound a little crazy but it works...try it, you'll like it!

hawg08,
Crazy? Not at all ! Makes perfect sense. Keep in mind that alot of parts come wrapped so why not do it when you need to remove them? Thanks for the tip

I wrap my girlfriend in Saran Wrap all of the time and it does keep her from getting scratched up. But she gets mad when I try to wrap her head up in the stuff??

Just don't do it in the sun..Stuff is a bitch to remove when it's heated up...I wrapped my bars with it last year before trailing the bike home on an open trailer...I was peeling pieces off for weeks...

Not really "worried" about it, I just assumed that folks would like to keep their bikes looking their best, especially if they're black! I wouldn't cover my bike with it to ride it just to work on it in the garage.
