Exclamation Fairing for a RoadKing Custom

I want to buy a fairing for my roadking custom.

Please recommend me the best one in the market.

Thanks.

You will get a bunch of opinions on this. I can only speak for the one I bought: quadzilla. It was a tight fit getting onto the bike, but the wiring was simple and the stereo is loud with pretty good sound. I haven't had any trouble with the stereo ever cutting out or a skipping CD, so far. All in all I would give it two thumbs up, but remember, I haven't tried any of the other ones out there.

Great question. For the last year or more I've been researching aftermarket fairings. When I get the money (not if, when) I will buy one from Tsukayu.com for approx $1300 (Vivid Black w/stereo & free shipping). I believe they have the best value. You can look at others such as Hoppe Industries' "Quadzilla" - a little pricey and too much going on with the four speakers. Deadcentercycles.com makes a nice one but it's around $2200. Dragonflyconcepts.com makes one with 9" oval speakers that looks a bit odd in my opinion. The cheapest (price and quality) looks like Wideopencustoms.com. I believe theirs has assembly involved and it looks cheap. The one thing I did find that I'm not really happy about is the tiny wind deflector on top of the headlight nacelle has to go. You'll have to put a standard roadking trim piece on. Good luck and be sure to keep us posted as to what you end up doing.

Sort of like asking what underwear should you wear. There are several on the market. I'm sure you're like me and want the most for your money. I too have been wanting a fairing for my King, just not sure yet, I know that I don't need a radio though, don't want to dround out the beautiful sound of my pipes. Been looking real close at the Sportzilla fairing, ( I think that's the name) real simple and looks like it belongs there.

I bought the Dead Center Cycle fairing for my Road King Custom. For ME it is the best, locks in place and after almost 2 years and being on and off a lot, still good fit, no rattles or vibrations and fits ALL HD accessories for batwing fairings.

Is that a real easy task and does the regular 'ole RK standard/classic handlebar clamp cover thing fit perfectly? I'm guessing the answer is yes to both, but I thought I'd ask (since it sounds like you've researched it!)

Quadzilla here, I checked out others at Daytona and thought this was the best quality. They installed it while I waited, had it painted locally after I got home.

The reasons I went with Dead Center. It locks. Great Quality. Unbelievable customer service. Uses all the stock HD parts. (And all the options like windshields, wings, bra, etc.) And I got it off this forum very slightly used, painted inside fairing and out, with Sirius Radio subscription paid for a year for a GREAT price. What's not to like? All I had to add was the flames to make it match... You won't regret it. Call the folks at Dead Center, they are incredible. Good luck, and post up a picture when you get yours.

I am very impressed with the quality of the Dead Center fairing on my 07 RK. They use marine grade radios and speakers. The locking feature was a major point for me. The paint was flawless. They are more expensive but you can get a 20% discount if you don't mind making a few phone calls. I can email details if you are interested.

Before I sold my '06 FLHRSI, I was considering a Bob Dron fairing like the one J&P Cycle had on display at Laughlin. It is a minimal fairing with no stereo, but is light, cheap, and looks good. Just another option that's out there.
