The only way to have a meet and greet that will work is to have it in a private location. Thats why I am volunteering to have it at my house in DeLand (30 minutes from the beach) on Saturday. If we all meet at noon I'll flip some burgers and dogs on the grill and we can have a couple hours to meet each other. The only issue I have is that I DON"T want to spend the whole saturday of biketoberfest at home. I figure if we meet at noon and meet, eat and greet until two, then head out to Daytona in whatever groups we want at about 2:00 it will work out great. We can all have lunch, meet and still have the day to enjoy Daytona. What you the rest of you think??
Sounds like an excellent idea! I and I'm sure all here appreciate you establishing the meeting place. It works out much, much better this way. Besides, gas is a bit cheaper in Deland then in Daytona and it should be way less crowded out there. Downtown Deland is a nice place to see too. (12:00 P.M. Saturday, October 18th, 2008). Let's hope the weather holds out. When your ready, just give the directions. Your right, as I said earlier no one wants to spend the day sitting waiting on everyone to arrive. Just tell us how $much$ per head you figure and if you want for us or just me, to bring anything. I'll try to arrive a bit earlier to help you set up and I'll bring the banner. This should be a great shindig. In the immortal words of George Peppard, "I Love It When A Plan Comes Together".
Excellent, the more the merrier. Anybody else going? (What time you'll be in town and what day?) The meetings for Saturday at 12:00 PM in Deland. PM me and I'll add you to the list. This is great, I can already feel the weather slightly starting to break. It should be nice and cool by then. 25 days to go! Let me know.
Just keeping this post fresh in everyones mind. (Is there anyone else here going who's not been counted for?) I like to keep track incase someting happens between now and then.
23 days remaining!
