I also live only 30 minutes away. I'll be working during the week but may be able to get off one day unless it's on a weekend day. There are a lot of places that may not be so full of the the regular bike crowd. I really don't run the Daytona area much, bar wise, maybe one of the locals will chime in with some sugestions!!

 

Well, this is how I figured, first draft. Might want to pick a place that isn't a bar or restaurant. We could hit them later. I figured maybe a vacant lot of some sort that's away from the festivities. I've been scouting the areas. Almost 'everywhere' around Route 1 and Main St. empty lots, gas stations, fast food lots, hotel lots any normally not used space that can make them money for parking will be charging. Maybe around or even in the Daytona Flea Market by route 92. I figured "maybe" I could get a big piece of oak tag and a long wooden stake, stencil HD Forums on it and (reside) there for a while. This way someone would be aware and be able to relay information to incoming members. This would have to be determined by a set time and what day(s) most of us would be there. Remember, this is only a suggestion. Any input I give here is just as good as anybody elses. I would just like to get the best ideas and make it work. In the end, if it's not a favored idea we wouldn't have to do a gathering at all if so desired by all. Well, this is a start. We got a little more than 1 month to go.

This is Motorman from the Ride Like a Pro dvd. We will be performing my Rider skill show at the Speedway at the Harley demo site, Thur, fri, and Sat. I have a powerfull Pa system and would be happy to make an anouncment to the forum members that would like to meet at that location. I'll have my Motorhome parked there and will be easy to find.

 

If I had some idea of how many total here were going I could make up a list to be expecting. PM me and I'll keep a list. An identifying marker like a button, bandana worn a certain way or something of that nature would make it alot easier to identify members. I assume HD Forums has no such line of advertising? Hey Admin!, you sell HD Forums buttons???
