In less then a week
I will be riding my new Ultra. We are beginning out-processing from Afghanistan tomorrow. Man I can’t wait.
The bad news.
My wife can’t get the days off work. Two of her co-workers quit and one more is out with the flew. As much trash as I talk about putting a new bike on a trailer, I’m gong to have to do it instead of riding it home. I will have a day to ride around in Oregon before putting in on the trailer to take it back to Washington.
Don’t you hate it when life gets in the way of a good time?

I, too, picked up a brand new Harley upon my return from Afghanistan. I was in Khandahar until January of this year. I went back to Ft. Bragg, and the next day went to the dealership to pickup my bike. It was a well deserved present after 13 months of dodging bullets. I wish you a safe and speedy return to your family and your new toy!

Troy,
Welcome home. I just got back from Iraq last Saturday and picked up my bike on Friday morning. ENCS blew the delivery on my birthday (Wednesday) by sending the paperwork snail mail instead of overnight.
Still, I've got over 250 miles on her already, removed the fork leg reflectors and Harley-Davidson tank emblems, and have a 300 miler lined up for tomorrow, so I guess I can't really complain.
Take care,
Harry
