okey guys i rode home from work on the 08 street glide i got off the bike and droped my key when i bent down to get it i noticed a small black tube just behind the primary case. it smelled of gas and i could see gas vapors coming from the end of the tube. what the hell is this tube.

 

I guess it's the overflow for the gas tank

 

well i only have a half tank of gas i just noticed it today step back and look it is between the rear of the primary and the rear tire but closer to the rear of the primary.

It is the overflow for the gas tank. If you overfill your tank, it will run out when you park. If you slossed the gas around in the tank, I suppose it would come out sometimes. It is definately your overflow. Bldr
