Default Pawl adjustment ?

Started having shifting issues appx 300 miles back, adj clutch yesterday, no help. Read about pawl adj., found pawl adj screw lock nut loose, in 3rd gear had appx 1"+ movement forward and spring back, but no back movement. Started turning adj screw forward and statrted to shorten up forward and corresponding spring back. Got to the point where I had a little back wards movement and corresponding spring back, turned screw just a little in the opposite direction and now shifter lever has neither forward or backwards movement, is this good, manual doesn't specify how much movement. Thanks

Default

It was the loose locknut on the pawl adj screw, let the adj get WAY out of wack, just took it down the road and all is good in Choptops worold once again.
