RE: Need Cable Length Help
I made the swap this winter. I routed my cables down through clamps on the bars and it looks very clean. I ordered my cables custom made from Barnett. ( app. $350) If you want this type of look you will need 12" over throttle/idle cables and 11" over clutch. The reason for 1 inch shorter clutch is that when you run the adjustment out on the clutch cable you will gain an inch between the perch and the transmision.

RE: Need Cable Length Help
I noticed a sticker on the bars when I got them that said that a one piece top clamp is required that you can not use a top piece clamp? I have not taken the cover off my RKC yet to look how it is set up but I am assuming that it is a two piece and will have to get a different top clamp. Jarman did you have to do this?

"With 16" apes you should use a one piece top clamp.
We recommend using a full / one-piece top clamp. It's not mandatory, but highly recommended whether you run stock bars or any other bars on the FLHR or other Harley Dresser models. The two-piece top clamps are a poor design, they do not properly support handlebars that are secured to rubber mounted risers because the risers can move independently of each other under moderate pressure and cause stress at center section of any bar. The stock risers work fine. A one-piece top clamp works with the stock risers and fits under the top cover on the Road King. Harley Part # 56170-83TA Classic Chrome Handlebar Clamp works fine, list price around $18.00.
Call anytime we can be of service."
Sounds liek a cheap way...just to be sure.
