I have heard and read that the next iteration of the Sportster will be a detuned version of the next generation V Rod engine.....................

Very tough emission laws coming in 2010. Catepillar announced this year they are getting out of the on highway engine market, that leaves Cummins as the soul engine manufacturer asfar as diesels go. So is watercooled HD's coming? There are some people out here that are naive and think air cooled engines will be around for another 100 years. Not!

I hope if (when) they do, they won't make some phony balony Harley "looking" engine with fake fins etc (How jap would that be ??!!)
I sure hope they use a larger version of the (tried & true) VRod motor. Those damn things are bullet-proof.
