York Tech Institute motorcycle technology program is putting on a nice day (open house with food and dyno runs are free) ...real close to the H-D Plant

 

If you are looking for a quaint small town Lititz Pa 17543 has an historic hotel The General Sutter and Wilbur chocolate factory. It is about 35 minutes from the plant.

 

I went and that why I now own a Harley. Wife saw the touring bikes being built and she said you need one of those - 2 weeks later I was the proud owner of a Harley. No more imports for me.

 

My son and I went back in June. Matter of fact my sig. picture was taken out in front of the factory entrance. Awesome tour!!! We stayed at the Red Roof Inn right across the street from Laugerman's H-D. Very clean place with decent rates. The girl at Laugerman's told us NOT to ever stay at the motel next to the dealership, can't remember the name...:-( but she said that it had beg bugs something terrible. You might give them a call and ask where decent places to stay are, they were very helpful.

My brother lives outside of Baltimore and goes every year to the open house with a bunch of buddies. This year he talked me into going, so next week I'm heading out from Orlando, FL on the SG for York!!

 

Stopped by there in July,It was worth the look just to check out the tooling and stamping part(tool&die maker) wife said it smelled like i do every day after work.Liked the final inspection when hooked to dino and they hammer it through the gears,
