Front end suddenly feels loose in turns...
Hey everyone,
I have an '08 RG with approx 4500 miles on it. Just recently I have noticed that the front end seems loose in corners and to the point where it feels like the front end may wash out. I've checked tire pressures and everything is in check. Everything seems tight on the front end but it is still there. Is it possible that I need to add that stabilizer that I've read about on here or is something else maybe the problem? It does it on all kinds of pavement surfaces so I really don't know what else to look for. Any advice is greatly appreciated. If a stabilizer is needed can you guys recommend one and let me know how difficult it is to install(bolt on vs fabricate). Thanks.

Possible that the nut that holds your fork assembly has backed off. We had one not to long ago that this had happened on. 03 ultra. Good thing is you still have a warranty. Sit on the bike and shake the handle bars and let go. It does some weird stuff if it is loose. It is like a big dog shaking it keeps moving for a little bit.

I had a very similar problem with my '07 Ultra. Took it in today and found the front motor-mount had partially collapsed. Warranty service tomorrow morning. I will post an update saying if that worked or not. Also getting a rear tire at 8400 miles. That seems like terrible mileage to me. Anyone with thoughts on that?

Thanks for the scoop blue. 8400 seemed low, but if 8-10k is average then so be it. I have read many of the tire threads and see what you mean about everyone having their opinion. Living in Oregon I value good wet-road handling over longevity. I had no complaints with the Dunlops in the rain so I think I am going to stick with them.
