Several foks have asked me to see some pictures after I swapped out my 21" 120/70-3.5 RC Component Czar Eclipse front wheel and tire for the same in an 18" 140/70-3.5. Here are some comparison pictures:


















Other changes were the black breather cover from the Cross Bones and a black horn cover. Maybe someone can use this to make the decision when trying to decide between the two size wheel set-ups. The set with the 18's were taken very quickly for comparison but you get the idea. Husky, lower and fatter vs longer, leaner and taller in front. I like them both. I'm not sure at this point which I like best frankly. For ride quality, I'll give the edge to the 18's but not enough to reccomend changing to anyone that might ask. I originally thought the 18's would make a huge difference in ride quality, but really didn't change all that much. I have come to really appreciate the ride quality in both setups ...with the Race-Tech suspension and emulators. My initial issue with the 18's being harsher than I expected was mostly the fact that the Metzeler had been aired to about 46psi. Getting it down to about 40-42 made a huge difference believe it or not.

 

Both sizes looks great!I can't decide which one I like best...

Keep the 21" Man that looks sweet. The 18" would look better with a lowered front fender but the 21" truly sets it apart

 

Even though the 120/21" looks a little cooler, I still prefer a wider 140/18". The stock fender kills the style!

 

Drop the fender and shave the rivets on the 18 and enjoy.

If the 18 stays on, and it will for a while at least, I'll likely drop the fender or replace it. I am going to hang on to the 21" however. I know myself too well
What rivets are you referring to shaving?
