Is there a way to tell if you have a stage 1 download without paying a dealer to hookup and check? I was told my '05 RK had it done, but I want to be sure. Does anyone know what they usually charge to check this?

 

I bought my bike used, and was skeptical if the download was done. The bike was popping like crazy, and the spark plugs were snow white. A couple of riders told me that I was running too lean, so I took it to the local dealer, and everything checked out. They charged me an eighty dollar diag fee. Expensive, but good piece of mind.

 

The stage 1 download raises the rev limiter to 6200 RPM. There are several ways to verify that, without going to the dealer

 

I called harley and found out who the selling dealer was. then contacted there service dept and asked them if it was done.no charge except for the toll charge to at&t for long distance call.
