Sure you can! I am just a bit taller than you, and ride one with no problem. Lowering shocks will bring it down an inch or so.....then, you can buy a seat thru HD that will lower your riding position even more.

I totally agree. B4 I bought my StreetGlide, I was thinking of a Electra Glide Standard, strip down version, but sat on one and was like, kinda too tippy toe for me. It was like when I hop on a crotch rocket and Im all tippy toed. Oh, I'm 5'5" and inseam of 29 also.

Just get a tall chick for a significant other, keep your feet on the floorboards and she can hold you up and push it around!!! Just kidding, if you lower it an inch and do some seat work you will be very, very comfortable.

I am 5'7" with a 29 inch inseam and weigh in at 140 lbs. I ride a 07 Ultra and love it. The first thing I did was have www.meancitycycles.com redo my seat. He lowered me 2 inches moved me forward 1 1/2 inches and cut the sides so my feet would touch ground. He also installed the 10 lb. memory foam, the ride is great. I thought about lowering the bike with the 12 inch air shocks and install the 1 inch lowered fork springs but have changed my mind as I can handle the bike good the way it is and did not want to take a chance in losing any comfort.
Test ride one but remember the seat will make a big difference.
Hope this helps
Jim

I'm 5'4" with a 27" inseam and just had the lowering kit installed on my '08 Electra Glide Standard and I just flat foot it with no problem.

Doc, did you have the rear and front lowered or just the back end? I've already done the back suspension on my Road King and am thinking of doing the front suspension this winter, just curious if it makes that much more of a difference than just the back. I'm guessing that it would.

Thanks.
