Default Subwoofer

First time post but ive done alot of searching and cant really find an answer,

Does anyone make a sub enclosure the fits in the hardbags? Is it better to just mount smaller speakers vs. putting in a 10inch woofer?

Lookin to do a big speaker upgrade while im building the motor and putting a 103" together (waiting on parts...)

Ive heard good things about yellow cone Pioneer 6x9's. However in searching the forums ive also read good things about focal speakers. Just looking for a bass that out does all my friends bikes

Thanks Again

Dave

This may be a rumor but I read that you won't be able to hear the sub while you're moving, only when you're stopped.

That's right, you won't hear any bass while you are moving down the road..........it will just radiate out into the air and not effect you at all on the bike.

It will be cool when you are stopped, have some thumping bass coming out of a HD touring bike.

The bass will be canceled out from the bass of the exhaust

You might not be able to "hear" it, but chances are you'll be able to feel it. I don't know if the HD electrical system will be able to easily support a high powered AMP supporting both a subwoofer and 6x9s. I know there is someone on this board that has a "lid" conversion for putting speakers in there, but I don't believe it was a 6x9 configuration.

I would figure the draw of the AMPs required to power a sub and 6x9s might overwhelm the stator system on an HD, but that is just my .02$.

I saw a set of bags a while back that were made exactly for that. they had two 10" wooffers in each bag. looked real sick too. do a google search, let us know what you find.

Man you gonna be bumpin' for real if u can pull that off. Some cats out here in L.A put them in a low tour box. Not sure how the elec system holds up but I'm sure it can be worked out. Get back to us and tell us what you found.
