Default new RK bars

Changing the bars on my 08 RK shortly. HD lists a new heritage bar #56902-08 for RK that does not require any cable or wire changes. My question is has anyone with the same bike made this change and is the claim of no cable or wire change true... Also are you happy with them and how do they compare to stock???

I'd be interested in finding that out myself>>since 08's have the ride by wire. Who told you they would be a direct fit? Have you checked on cop rk bars? They have more pullback that stock>>and more rise too.

I put the heritage bars on my 07 king and there great! My back and neck

Have the Heritage bars on order for my 08 RK with ABS and Cruise. Will see if they fit without cable changes. Will post when installed. By the way, why does it take HD more than a week to get items ordered? I have had Hondas, Yamahas, KTM's and never had to wait more than a few days for parts. **** poor distribution network both on the part of the Company and the dealer!!

I had the police RK bars installed on my 08 RK a few weeks ago. They are the same as the Heritage bars.No problems with cables.Found the stock bars too low and too far away. The police bars are much more comfortable .Glad I had them changed.Hope this helps.

+1 with kevinm.
Best, inexpensive mod I've done on my '07. Brake line straightens easily by hand.

I had the police bars put on my 07 RK. Much more comfortable than the stock handle bars and you will be happy with the change on longer rides. I think they look better too. Just my 2 cents.
