08 Ultra, mine works great, HOWEVER, I lose a little speed when pulling a hill and riding two up. A friend I ride with will eventually run off and leave me after pulling a few grades. We are fairly close in total weight. I think it is because his bike tuned out with a little more torque than mine did, (different mufflers) both have SERT and Tru-Duals, his is an 07.

On a recent two day trip, the cruise control on our '08 Electra Glide worked perfectly. It sure saves my right hand and wrist on long trips! I love it!

Mine works perfectly at speed. My 06 UC throttle used to rotate as the speed was changed by the CC. I had to ride with my hand off of it. My 09 UC throttle goes back to the 0 position when under the cruise control. When you turn the 09 CC off you have to turn the throttle back to an estimated throttle level or it will stand on its nose. Just have to get used to the throttle by wire. Would not do without my cruise control.

I do not have to take my hand off of the throttle to set it as I leave the switch on the dash on all the time. Nice to just hit the switch with my right thumb when I want to scratch something.

we both noticed that - it abruptly cuts the fuel and jerks you a bit. have to preset the throttle like you say. we were doing over 70 most of the time, so slamming the throttle shut at 70 will do that, i reckon.

exactly - who cares what number is on the speedometer - i go as fast as i want.

my bike has pipes & AC, and his was stock. that explains mine pulling past his bike on hills, but not his pulling away from me on flat land. and they did not seem to stay consistent with the cars in front of us.

of course, his only had ~500 miles on it, so it may need broke in
mine only has ~1500 miles.

just kinda thinking out loud when posted this, but would like to hear more from guys who ride in groups.
