You can also grab the rubber with a pair of plyers and pull it through. WD 40 is a real good idea.

I put the swept wing grooved on my bike last summer. Cost me around $330 and was an easy project. I used the streamliner inserts to match the bike. Used them once and sold the inserts on eBay after I decided to go with a different insert theme.

The wife says its a world of difference. Now she just cries for a tour pak.
