Converting Street Glide Passenger Pegs to Floorboards - Cost, Complexity?

Before you get done spending money, or at least think done, look to buy a set of Kury or HD swing over passenger peg assemblies, can put the OE pegs on these from HD and will give the little woman a place to reposition over a long ride, has saved me some of that ever too frequent high pitch rear end whine.

I have one (1) side ( both sides are the same ) floorboard assembly in excellent condition for 1993 and later FL models. This is the assembly that uses two ( 2) bolts to attach to the frame ( 50379-07b ). The floorboard is complete minus the mounting bolts. I'm looking to get $40.00 plus shipping from the 48116 zip code. PM me if you are interested and maybe we can make a deal. I should note that from 1993 through 2009 the boards were mounted with one bolt and a locating pin. In 2010 HD went to the two (2) bolt mounting setup. Either board will fit the frame of your scooter. Maybe you can find someone else with another side?

I must be the only one who had a problem installing these. I paid about 300. at a black friday sale. I did install them in Dec when it was cold, I recommend doing this in the warm where the floorboards are more flexible.
Here are 2 issues I had, the spring in the mount and the BB for the boards, spent about 15 minutes crawling on the floor looking for that freaking BB.
Had no idea (until feb) what happend to the 1 spring, I had it on the work bench and it rolled off. In feb I found it in the drawer, both the spring and the drawer are black. I am color blind so I didnt see it.
Anyway the install was not too bad after you realize the kit has a shoulder bolt on the bottom and not two bolts. I also had a problem with the pin in the boards and thru the mounts. I finally put the rubber boards in hot water and that made the process much easier. I also sprayed the holes in the rubber with wd 40.
Anyway, I would do it again and am sure the next time would be easier.

There are alot of knockoffs on ebay. Order from Lakeshore and with their discount it's the same price as the knockoffs and you will have genuine HD. Very straight forward install, pressing the boards into the pans is strange. Without some white lithium grease or spit you won't be able to get them seated correctly.

It would cost you about $300 for the chrome mount bracket, footboard pan, & the pan insert(rubber foot pad) to match the rider shape & design footboards & brake pedal, then you can use the rear foot pegs for hiway pegs just need to buy mounts. Looks good & everything matches. You can also get shifter pegs to match
