08 Ultra Classic won't go past 75mph

If it started after your service, maybe there is a fuel restriction that appears under hi fuel temp, high power demand. As a filter slowly plugs it starves the eng for fuel, first noticed when loosing top end then it progresses to a lot worse. Maybe the dealer f'd something up when they had it.
9 times outa 10 problems usually surface after someone has monkeyed with it, as you mentioned just after your service/recall.
Maybe it would be a good idea to check the fuel filter and replace it again.

just a thought, but maybe in that ten miles of slow driving, you got some additional carbon buildup in the combustion chamber and piston top, if a little piece of carbon gets to glowing white hot it will set you into major detonation mode, causing the computer to cut back your power until the knock subsides and the carbon falls off.

I've heard/read that there's a common issue with the fuel pickup lines not being properly reconnected when the fuel canister recall is performed. Also some of the pickup lines are getting holes rubbed in them from contacting the inside of the tank with or without the recall service. Both issues can cause the problems described here.

This is an interesting post.....I just had my fuel filter canister replaced at 11,000 miles.....I swear it now has more throttle response. I was under the impression that it either worked fine, or the tabs broke and you lost total fuel pressure. Maybe some bikes are not running at proper fuel pressure with a small leak in the cannister.....just a thought....

I am picking up my bike tonight after the dealer telling me nothing was wrong with my bike.
See my earlier post.
They did however, tell me in a "polite" way, that I should downshift when the engine bogs down. REALLY???
I was nice enough to tell them that my NEW DEALER will have the opportunity to give me a second opinion.

I picked it up and I have the same problem.
3000 rpm and no more acceleration.
I am supposed to leave Saturday on a week long road trip to Utah and I don't know if my 08 Ultra with 5500 miles on it will make the trip!!!!
I can't begin to tell you how frustrated I am with the bike and mostly the dealer.
